When I was pregnant, for some reason, I was extremely concerned that my son wouldn't have enough books. My husband and I are avid readers, and over the years have accumulated way too many books. But, we didn't own a single children's book since this was our first child. So, I did what I always do, and what I am doing right now for you. I made a list (alphabetized by title for once). Here is my list of best books to buy to start your child's library. Some are longer than others, but two years in, my son still loves each and every one of them.
