I love smoothies because they are a quick and convenient way to get a whole bunch of nutrients in first thing in the morning! I like to call it my “insurance policy” -- no matter what happens the rest of the day, I’ve gotten some high-quality greens, protein, and fat in my diet!
This is my go-to recipe - the one I could make in the dark since I’ve done it so often! It’s also my most recommended recipe for women - it has super hormone balancing ingredients that are helpful whether you’re experiencing period symptoms, during pregnancy, or postpartum!
1 - 1 /2 c. almond milk or water (I usually do half of each)
1/2 c. packed spinach
Handful frozen dark cherries
1-2 Tbsp. cacao powder
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp maca powder (this is an adaptogen that helps increase energy level, memory, and aids in estrogen balancing!)
optional scoop of collagen or protein powder of choice 😁
