Our last meet-up was another successful evening of book discussion, tangents, wine, snacks, and just a good old-fashioned night out!
If you were there Thursday, you already know the new book, but if not, you're gonna love this one!
Each meeting, we ask attendees to recommend books for future meet-ups and this was a referral from our first meeting.
Defending Jacob by William Landay is a crime-drama novel about a father (Asst. District Attorney!) dealing with the accusation that his 14 year old son is a murderer. (I'd say this is just as good as a Sunday SVU Marathon!!)
As always, we scored you a deal on your copy from Little City Books for 10% off when you mention the LH Book Club both in-store and on their site (write it in the notes!). If you are a kindle kind of girl, you can snag a copy here!
The Hoboken Public Library always has copies available too.
We will be meeting (and discussing!) the book on Thursday, August 23 at 7:30 PM in the upstairs private room at Mills Tavern, so see you there!!
