National Rosé Day

My favorite holiday of the year has finally arrived!

Held every year on the second Saturday in June, National Rosé Day was founded in 2015 by wine expert Bodvar Hafström to honor this glorious summertime wine. And to me, nothing says it's summertime more than dining al fresco with a group of my girlfriends while sharing a delicious bottle of chilled rosé.

In preparation for this celebration, restaurants all over Hoboken are stocking their wine fridges with beautiful bottles of this pink-colored goodness. If you can't wait to join in on the festivities like me, here are some of the best spots in the Mile Square where you can get your rosé fill:

Grand Vin Kitchen & Bar

This charming and cozy midtown spot is known for having an extensive list of rosé wines and - get this - even offers wines on tap! There is also live music and entertainment happening throughout the week, making this a fantastic place to sample some rosés and enjoy this special day.

Sorellina Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar

If you want to partake in the newest craze to hit the rosé world - "frosé" (frozen rosé) - Sorellina is the spot! First off, what is more refreshing and fun than a boozy adult slushy? Second, this is the perfect place to grab a table on their cute outdoor patio, order a pretty glass of the frosé, and do some serious people-watching on Washington Street.

Pier 13

Another fantastic spot to celebrate this holiday is the Pier 13 Beer Garden on the Hoboken waterfront. While you relax and take in the infamous New York City skyline, you can pop open a can of delicious Babe rosé with bubbles. You can also partake in an assortment of excellent food trucks, water sports, and local entertainment.

Bin 14 Bistro & Wine Bar

This upscale Italian wine bar has a wine list that is constantly changing with the seasons and, to no surprise, is heavy on the rosés this time of year. Even more exciting, Bin 14 is the one place in Hoboken where you can order a bottle of the trendy, yet affordable Forty Ounce Rosé to pair with their many delicious small plates.

Birch Bar & Gelateria

If you are looking for a fun and unique way to partake in this holiday, head downtown to the gelateria and creamery at Birch and order a few scoops of their yummy alcohol-infused rosé sorbet. It is made from scratch on premises and tastes incredible - and actually contains a good amount of wine per serving! **BONUS: Get 10% off your check with your Little Hoboken Hook-Up Card**

Whether you prefer your rosé still or bubbly, sweet or dry, frozen, or even as a sorbet, let’s all raise a glass (or three?) to this perfect summertime drink and say, "Yes Way, Rosé!"
