Kane has been begging me to dye eggs. He's talked about it in school and seen it on his cartoons, so I decided to use this as a Pinterest project for this month.
No surprise, I found a "recipe" for egg dying by Martha Stewart and instantly said, "oh yeah, mine will look just like hers!"
It's so easy though...for real!
Your supply list is simple:
1. Muffin Tin
2. Shaving Cream (Brand is irrelevant, so I went cheap)
3. Hard Boiled Eggs
5. Food Coloring
I boiled the eggs and only lost one along the way -- which is a major victory for me -- and then let them cool.
Then our fun began.
Spray shaving cream in each tin's space. Add food coloring of your choice to each section. Mix with a toothpick.
Then, simply roll the eggs in each one. Kane loved this part. We should have worn gloves, but the food coloring came off of him in his bath and me when I was washing dishes.
Once complete, just wipe the extra foam on the eggs off with a paper towel.
The finished product is really a beautiful marbled egg and clean-up was pretty minimal.
