Hey, Little Hoboken! I'm personal trainer Julia (Fouts) Swayne and am so excited to join the Little Hoboken team, as Little Hoboken’s “Fit Mom”! Fitness is a huge part of my life, as well as my career!
I was a lacrosse player in college, after graduating, I knew I wanted to continue to be active. The typical desk job just wasn't for me. I moved to NYC and got busy with my certifications and training experience.
I am NASM personal training certified and certified in both Spinning (Mad Dogg) and Pilates Apparatus with prenatal training (Poise Pilates). I have coached high school lacrosse & soccer, managed work out studios, and taught more kinds of fitness classes than I can count.
Since moving to Hoboken, I have worked at Work it Out, as both a class instructor and educator/trainer of WiO's current & new instructors. I love teaching and fitness in general. I try not to get too into one idea or regime, and I really enjoy trying new fitness styles & instructors. I always find time for my favorites like running, weight training, Fit RxN, spinning, and hot yoga.
Last October, I gave birth to my daughter Elizabeth and for the last year I have been juggling being a parent, keeping a 4-day per week work schedule, and trying to have time for myself. (INSERT LAUGHING).

Julia Swayne is a personal trainer (NASM), spin instructor (Mad Dogg) , and Pilates apparatus and prenatal trainer (Poise Pilates) working in Hoboken and NYC. She has been working in fitness for almost a decade now and currently is the Director of Instructors with Hoboken’s Work it Out. Last October, she became a mom to daughter Elizabeth.
