Happy International Day of Yoga!

Yoga practice changed my life several years ago. It helps me with anxiety, stress management, and gets me out of my own head. Not to mention the physical benefits of a stronger and more flexible body, one that I am more in tune with thanks to the breath work I have learned on the mat. I practiced yoga throughout my entire pregnancy - right up until the very end (42 weeks!). So when International Day of Yoga comes around, I love to head to Instagram to see all the inspiring pictures of poses I love, and poses I will probably never be able to do.

We are blessed to have our choice of yoga studios in Hoboken - whether you’re into Hot, Bikram, or Vinyasa - there is a place for you! Here are my three fave spots to get my flow on:

Mimi Yoga Hoboken I have been practicing at Mimi for years. It’s a cozy, inviting space and the classes offer a wide variety. If you’re looking for a gentle flow I recommend Freedom Flow. For a higher intensity core-focused workout, Mimi Power Core is where it’s at. There are also classes specifically for the little ones, as well as bring your own baby for new moms (sorry if you attended one of these classes with me - my babe wailed the entire time!). Devotion Yoga What I love about Devotion is they offer SO many special events! Most recently I attended a New Moon sadhana, where I left feeling grounded, purposeful, and calm. They offer early morning classes on Tuesdays & Thursdays for those who want to stretch and flow into their day. They have a wide variety of classes and teachers - including a Meditation & Mindfulness class.

Asana Soul Practice One of the newer studios in town, Asana Soul Practice really stands out with their in house DJ and their diverse offerings of group meditation. Asana also offers early morning classes and meditations. I highly recommend checking out their Friday night restorative after a long week!
