I came across Glace Cake Studio during my online search for a cake. I emailed and the owner, Daniela, promptly responded. After a few emails back and forth, I knew Daniela not only was an incredible find for cakes, but we would become friends in the process. Daniela immediately got my style, my vision, and she seemed just as excited as I was about the cake we were creating in our collective heads.
Prior to motherhood, Daniela worked as a professional pastry chef for over 10 years in some of the area's top restaurants. As many of us moms can relate to, she left her professional career to focus on her family, but started to miss her craft. Luckily for us, a friend of hers begged her to make her a custom cake and lit her fire to start baking again. Daniela now takes custom orders for cakes, cupcakes, and more. Her online portfolio is incredible.
Daniela delivered the cake to the venue and my jaw literally dropped the floor when she opened the box. It was honestly the most beautiful cake I've ever seen and even better than the pictures I had sent her. The edible flowers on the cake were hand sculpted and painted. The details were breathtaking.
When it was time to cut and serve the cake, we took a moment to take it all in before we let the knife touch the icing....we didn't want to cut it! BUT, wow... I am so glad we did! The cake was even more delicious than it was beautiful.
