Jennifer and Mac explained their process and that they like to have couples come in as a date night to view the images. You didn't have to ask us to get a sitter twice....Mimi to the rescue!
When we arrived, we were escorted into a comfortable living room-type atmosphere where wine and cheese were set out for us. I mean, right there, you've won our hearts!
Then, the real pleasure began. They first show you Mac's favorites on a large screen TV, followed by the secondary favorites and while you are falling in love with yourself and your family and asking yourself how in the world you can ever narrow these down to just a few, Jennifer to the rescue! She starts showing you them side by side almost like an eye doctor visit and helps you narrow it down. We selected a family shot to add to our gallery wall in our home. As I mentioned before, we don't have ANY family shots because I always hate myself in photos....until now!
It was so incredibly hard to choose our favorite and I know we'll be back for more, especially when we have a larger home as they have some amazing art piece options that I feel that we HAVE to own. They do all their own printing in-house which is rare along with gorgeous canvases and hand torn watercolors that Mac signs. Those would be incredible over a couch in our future family room!
Since Mother's Day is approaching, I started thinking about gifts. Especially when I saw this picture of my son and I.
Now, you can't buy your own gift, but you can certainly tell your family what you want or drop hints. AND, there are aunts, godmothers, and grandmothers who need gifts, right? My hint is for my husband to get me this picture in some sort of artwork.....a framed print, canvas, you get the idea. If Kane was a little older, I'd hope that Tim could even have him make me the frame for the picture.
We give both Kane's grandmothers and his great grandmother gifts that are photos for holidays because they always love them. Again, get creative. A framed photo, a canvas, a photo collage of your favorite pictures made online, a photo in a locket, a photobook you made online, or even a calendar!
There are also great sites to put pictures on anything from mugs to mouse pads to throw blankets!!
I'm pretty sure Kane's grandmothers and aunts would love one of these!
